Believe me, I get your struggle.
For years, I obsessed over everything that I ate and drank and spent countless hours in the gym each week and still wasn't able to lose the weight I wanted to lose. I tried so many different eating styles, from Paleo to IIFYM (counting every single calorie that went into my mouth) and everything in between. Sure, I'd see success for the first few weeks, but after that the weight would come back and I would feel like a huge failure.
On top of not being able to lose weight, I was also struggling with having enough energy to get through my day. I found it difficult to get out of bed, would feel sluggish by mid-afternoon and would have to take a pre-workout supplement just to get through my workouts. Because of this, my mood was crazy! I would go from calm and happy to what my fiancé used to call "Flippy" (yep, she got her own name that's how often she came around) in a matter of seconds. Needless to say, my relationship wasn't as great as it could have been, which added to the stress I was already feeling. Ugh, it's exhausting just thinking about it!
I finally figured out what truly works for me, and realized that it's SO much simpler than we make it out to be!

Food: I'll help you bust through that giant black hole of information out there to figure out what to eat.
Here's a truth I need you to understand: Every single body is different. It's not possible for most people to follow a one-size-fits-all diet (like Paleo, Vegan, Atkins etc.) and see lasting results. We'll work together to figure out what eating style actually works for YOUR unique body.
Physical Activity: I'll help you figure out how your body likes to move.
There are so many different opinions on how we "should" exercise. The only thing that is the same for everyone is that we all need to do some sort of exercise on a regular basis in order to thrive. I'll help you discover what types of activity work best for you.
Stress: I'll help you slow down, take a breath, and find real ways to manage your stress.
Are you struggling to find a balance between work and your personal life? Do you have a constant feeling of anxiety or tension that won't go away? Maybe you have situations (like career, finances, relationships) in your life that cause you to feel stressed? No matter what it is, together we'll find ways to bring you back to balance that work for your unique life.
Your Thoughts: Uncover hidden blocks or limiting beliefs that may be sabotaging your success.
Here's another truth for you: Our brains default into negative thinking patterns. That kinda sucks, right? I know, but the good news is we can change that! Since this is going to be a transformational time for you, you may have limiting thoughts or beliefs through out the program that are blocking you from reaching your goals. I'll help you work through them and give you tips + tricks to manage them moving forward.

Amanda has been the perfect coach for my weight loss journey. When I started, my main goal was to lose weight. I never imagined that this would be a course in mindfulness but now I realize that for me to permanently keep the weight off, I had to become more mindful about my eating, mainly because I was a mindless eater and an emotional eater. Amanda helped me with this because she always asked me to question my less than desirable eating choices and find the root cause. I was also unhappy with my body and often used self-deprecating terms when talking about myself (I am so greedy, lazy, etc) and she was quick to correct me.
Losing weight is really more mental than physical. Amanda helped me overcome my self-imposed mental obstacles which then eventually led to my losing 18 pounds. Once I reached 115 pounds I realized that it isn't really about the numbers. She helped me see that the significant change was not in the numbers showing on my scale, but to really love myself enough to take care of my body. I used to want rock hard abs and super toned body like Jillian Michaels but now, those are no longer goals for me. Although Amanda never told me to change my goals outright, she influenced me to my new goal which is to take care of my body with nourishing food and an active lifestyle and peaceful mind. Amanda has been more than just a weight loss coach for me. Losing weight is a mental battle for some of us and we cannot fight it alone. Anyone can advise you on how to eat healthy and cook wholesome food but actually making those choices, sticking to them, and making a lifestyle change is hard work. I was fortunate that Amanda was there for me to help me make those lifestyle changes.
